INTRODUCTION OF PARTNER SCHOOLS

Sevda DURMAZ - Tokat International Project İmam Hatip High School

Our school is new constitution in our city but it is the 15th example of these kinds of institutions in Turkey. The school consists of science and social studies in terms of concept. Moreover, foreign students will be welcomed from next year on because of Covid issues. Projects, foreign langaguages and Etwinning will be inevitable parts of our organization.

Collège les coudriers, Villers-Bocage (80), France

Collège les coudriers is quite a large secondary school in the countryside in the North of France. It is located near a lovely city called Amiens in which there is a marvelous cathedral.

In this school there are about 600 pupils aged 10 to 15 and they spend 4 years there.

Lessons start at 8:30 and they end either at 4 or at 5. Pupils have 2 twenty-minute breaks and one hour and a half lunch break. So that pupils usually attend 6 or 7 lessons everyday, except on Wednesdays as they finish at 12. There is no lesson on Saturdays and Sundays. Most of the pupils come to school by bus.

Pupils learn French, maths, history and geography, music, visual arts, foreign languages, PE, sciences.

Students can also specialize in handball and gymnastics. They can take part in clubs at lunch time (music, choir, Erasmus+, games…)

Elvira Cuyàs Primary School

The school is located in Montcada i Reixac. Montcada is situated at the confluence of the Ripoll river and the Besós river. The city is very close to the northernmost neighborhoods of Barcelona and is, therefore, a part of the metropolitan area of Barcelona. The school has 2 sections: Infant Education with children from 3-5 years old, and the primary school with children from 6-12 years old. The school has about 40 years of history and it's now living a process of methodological change. Students in primary years have 2 or 3 hours of English lessons a week and we have a native English language assistant. This is our second eTwinning project and we are looking forward to a new adventure with you all!

Josep Gras Primary School

Josep Gras Primary School is in Sant Llorenç Savall, a small village in the mountains, so we are surrounded by nature; we are near Barcelona (one hour driving). There are 170 pupils from 3 to 12 years old. Our methodology is global, so instead of working with subjects we work doing projects and reinforcing the talents and the capacities of our students, and we continue introducing changes in order to develop our methodology. However, we dedicate some hours per week to English but we usually connect the English with the project or the interest of the moment in each group.
For us learning by doing with real experience is the most important thing, so that's why we participate in Etwinnings from some years ago and we did a Comenius project (like an Erasmus). But for me is the 2nd etwinning project because is my second course as an English teacher

Nail Reşit Secondary School

Nail Reşit S.S. is situated at the central part of Istanbul. We have 908 students aging between 10-13. The overall aim of our school is to raise self-confident students who are aware of their skills and capabilities needed to survive in the digital era. English language classes have been put into action by our Ministry of National Education to provide our students with language skills from an early age. That's why we give great importance to international projects in order to make language learning process real.

Vilnius Simonas Konarskis Gymnasium

Our school is a Polish minority school in Lithuania, this means that most subjects are taught in two languages Polish and Lithuanian. There are more than 400 students in our school aged 7-19. We believe that getting and sharing new experiences is what makes you more tolerant, understanding and open-minded and eTwinning is a great platform for doing that and meeting new people.

eNTe School

Our school is special. eNTe is a private school where we most of the time speak English and sometiimes German. Some of our classes are only for volunteers, for example, Russian classes. One of our classes is PLENUM where we talk about rules in the school, all students can share their ideas and opinions and everyone has to agree for new rules. Instead of regular test’s we have exams every school year. We also have a system of learning that we complete core curriculum by very interesting and creative projects so for example writing books for kids from some topic or making our own genealogical tree! We communicate with our teachers in an informal way. In our school there are classes where we talk about emotions and how we feel. They are called Body & Soul. We learn from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
